WEA to Hold Annual Elections

Major offices for the Wyoming Education Association Board of Directors will determined during the spring, 2010 election. Delegates for WEA Delegate Assembly and the NEA Representative Assembly will also be determined.

Timelines for elections are strictly adhered to. For more information about the election process, contact Membership Specialist Linda Bottom: lbottom@nea.org.

Dates to Remember:

February 16          Nomination  for all elections, except local, must be postmarked or delivered by this date.

February 23          Activate Nominations and Elections Committee to secure additional candidate(s) for vacancies with fewer than two nominated candidates.

March 4                     Candidate resumes information and ads must be received by the deadlines in order to be included in the WEA News. Follow this link for the form.

April 17                 Ballots handed out at Delegate Assembly during the third session.

April   26-30             WEA General Elections will be held.

May 10                      Deadline for ballots to be delivered to the Cheyenne office

May 12                      Ballots counted

May 13                      Local presidents notified of results

May 14                      Candidates elected on both state and local ballots for NEA-RA delegate must notify state and local affiliates which position is accepted by this date.
