SPECIAL EDITION:

Information on Hathaway Scholarship Program

The Wyoming Legislature has established the Wyoming Hathaway Scholarship Program, a program intended to make a Wyoming post-secondary education a reality for all eligible Wyoming students graduating from high school in spring 2006 or later.  WEA feels it is important to share the following information in order to support/assist students who are graduating this spring.

WEA has been a strong supporter of this scholarship since the inception of the proposal.  According to WEA President Gary McDowell, “We at WEA are excited to see the Wyoming Hathaway Scholarship Program now coming to fruition.  This is an opportunity to make a real difference in the number of students availing themselves of Wyoming institutions for their post-secondary education opportunities.  We also see this program as a motivator for current K-12 students to stay in school, to take challenging high school courses, and to achieve at their highest levels in anticipation of obtaining funding to pursue training and education after high school that will lead to a successful future.”
