Rich Hill, the psychometrician who conducted the third party impact analysis of the 2009-10 PAWS, presents his findings to the Select Committee on School Finance Recalibration on Thursday, August 26, in Casper.

WEA Provides inservice training in Cody
Park County School District #6 utilized the expertise of the Wyoming Education Association to provide an inservice training in Cody, Wyoming, August 18-19. WEA Professional Issues Director Kathy Scheurman provided the C.A.R.E. training created by the NEA.

Massie, Mead, Petersen Receive WEA-PACE Endorsement
42 candidates endorsed statewide
Mike Massie, Democratic candidate for Wyoming Superintendent of Public Instruction, was among 42 candidates endorsed by the Wyoming Education Association Political Action Committee for Education (WEA-PACE) during the official WEA-PACE Council meeting held in Casper June 19th. Massie was endorsed for both the primary and general elections. WEA-PACE did not make an endorsement in the Republican primary election for Superintendent of Public Instruction.

WEA SPARKS, ESP Summit success in Laramie
WEA members from around Wyoming attended two simultaneous conferences in Laramie this past weekend. The SPARKS training is designed for beginning teachers and provides them information and training specific for their early years in Education. The ESP (Education Support Professionals) summit provided training to help non-certified employees succeed in their jobs and tips for working in a positive work environment.
